BOAST IN THE CROSS AND JESUS

Many believers would take their stand by saying that they boast in the Cross and the Lord Jesus through which the WORLD has been crucified, and the world to me.

1 Cor. 2: 2 & 5 1 Cor. 1: 23-24

1 Cor. 2: 2 & 5 I resolve to know nothing while I was with you EXCEPT JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED….… THE REASON FOR THAT ……..YOUR FAITH MIGHT NOT REST ON MEN’S WISDOM, BUT ON GODS POWER.

but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, BUT TO THOSE WHOM GOD HAS CALLED, both Jews and Greeks, CHRIST THE POWER OF GOD and the wisdom of GOD.

To preach about Christ it is required to have God’s Knowledge as to why Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because it is the knowing as to why Christ was crucified is crucial for those who would believe and come to know his God and Father and His power.

The purpose of God sending his son to be killed on a cross to all would seem senseless and does not mark God as being a God of Love.

The truth of the matter is that the cross and its work that was carried out by Jesus giving his body to be God’s Lamb and the truth in regard to all that is meant, is the means of coming to God the Father to whom, Jesus was sent to bring us to, and that through the work of the Cross and Baptism. John 1: 29-34

To make the statement ‘not to know anything except Christ and him crucified’ WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT AWESOME WORK WAS DONE ON THE CROSS by Jesus not only as a Guilt offering but a Sin Offering and be unaware of the deep plan and purpose of their on-going working is foolishness.

It is foolishness because it defeats the plan and purpose of both God the Father and His Son our Lord Jesus Christ as Lamb and Baptiser with Holy Spirit in that we are spiritually taken out of the death realm and enter life, born again, to be a new creature because this is the only way that we can know what Paul wanted for those who would believe, is to Know the Father who is God and His Power. To know Him as the Spirit of Truth who would lead us into all His Truth and also to know MORE ABOUT JESUS, to those who claim “I love Jesus”.

John 14: 13-17 John 16: 13-15

It is only through coming to the Father through the Cross BY CHRIST and trusting in THE FATHER as God alone THAT THE WORLD WILL REMAIN CRUCIFIED TO THE BELIEVER. It is by God’s Power and believing that Christ is the Son of God that we shall have the power to overcome the world and gain the promises to those who do God’s will as Sons of God, co-heirs with Christ.

All this is the reason for the cross and we would believe that IT IS ONLY THROUGH ITS WORK THAT MAN HAS ANY HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE.
