THRESHING OF “THE SEED”
STUDY OF MATTHEW 13.
THE SEED IS THE MESSAGE OF GOD.
THE SEED IS NOT REFERRING HERE TO THE WHOLE
WRITTEN WORD OF GOD.
IT IS REFERRING TO THE GOSPEL.
THE SEED OF GOD - WHICH IS BEING SPOKEN OF AS
BEING ‘THE MESSAGE OF THE KINGDOM
OF GOD’ IS THE MESSAGE OF THE GOOD NEWS,
THE WAY OF BEING SAVED, of BEING
BROUGHT TO GOD, THE FATHER AND THAT
through the work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
John 1:29-34 Colossians
1:27-28
THE SEED is “the
message” which is received IN THE MIND OF THE hearers.
The spirit of the hearer CANNOT HEAR or be GROUND for the
message, until Christ enters - making man's spirit alive. Rom. 8:10
Nor can the spirit of man have entrance into the REALM OF THE
SPIRIT. i.e. THE HEAVENLIES while they are Unbaptised
with Holy Spirit. Romans
8:11, Gal. 1:1
Now, this is the case for those WHO
HAVE BEEN TO THE CROSS, (so to speak,) and know Jesus as their sacrificial Lamb
for their sins.
Romans 3:25 John 1:29
The spirit of man is dead, until
those who believe in this initial work (that is the work of the cross), after
which GOD THE FATHER places in the spirit of man, THE SPIRIT OF HIS
SON. THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, which then brings mans
spirit to life. Romans
8:9-10, Galatians 4:6
Even now when a man HAS HIS SPIRIT ALIVE
because …..the Spirit of Christ dwells in his spirit, THIS DOES NOT give
ENTRANCE to the REALM OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD, which happens ONLY
THROUGH BAPTISM with Holy Spirit.
N.B. The
position in Romans 8:11, Col. 1:28, John
1:33 and John 3:3-8 are not yet entered into because it
is ONLY THROUGH BAPTISM with Holy Spirit that this work is
accomplished.
The PROMISES OF ALL GOD’S WRITTEN
WORD are CONDITIONAL. Fulfil God’s conditions THEN YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE
PROMISES. A person can speak out the PROMISES OF GOD, and believe
they have them, but until the CONDITIONS ARE FULFILLED AS LAID DOWN BY GOD the
promises CANNOT AND SHALL NOT BE FULFILLED EVEN THOUGH THE WORDS ARE IN
THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD. eg
Galatians 3:14
JESUS' WORDS TO SATAN Luke
4:1-13
Jesus quoted the WRITTEN WORD OF
GOD, that WAS APPLICABLE, HE KNEW THAT THEY WERE TRUE. It was
not something HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE COME TO PASS JUST
BECAUSE HE HAD SAID THEM.
He knew already the TRUTH
because he had experienced it: He had been Baptised with Holy Spirit himself
and was in constant communication with God his Father. John
10:38
Man does not live on bread alone (Jesus, John
6:48)
but by every Word that proceeds
from the mouth of God
Himself.
“Worship the LORD your God and SERVE HIM ONLY.”
This is the purpose of the coming of Jesus as Son of Man. And the reason why the
“MESSAGE” or
“SEED” must be preached - to bring mankind back to
their CREATOR. John 14:6
And to save them from the ETERNAL consequence of
DEATH. Revelation 20:14-15
To take us out of DEATH and its LAWS and INTO LIFE, Rom.
6:3-14 IN THIS LIFE.
Jesus knew WHAT THE CALLING HIS FATHER HAD ORDAINED FOR HIM WAS.
He knew he WAS THE SON OF GOD. He didn’t HAVE TO PROVE IT.
“Do NOT put the LORD your God to the test.”
(he is speaking about God not himself.)
We may SPEAK THE
PROMISES OF THE WORD OF GOD, but UNLESS we are fulfilling THE CONDITIONS
(REMEMBERING WE MUST FULFIL THE CONDITIONS OF GOD), AND KNOW THAT WHAT WE ARE
BELIEVING FOR IS BECAUSE GOD HAS SAID this to us. Otherwise IF WE DO
NOT, THEN IT CAN BE SAID THAT WE ARE TESTING GOD.
It is the WILL OF GOD THAT WE MUST
DO as Jesus did. Matthew 7:21-23
The SEED IS THE MESSAGE OF “THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.”
THE WAY OF SALVATION.
In Matthew 13
The Word of God speaks of
“THE SEED” AS THE MESSAGE OF GOD, in relation to the KINGDOM
OF HEAVEN and HOW TO BE SAVED, TO ENTER IT.
It is RECEIVED AS “A
SEED”, IT IS “THE SEED” and ONLY WHEN FULLY
RECEIVED AND OBEYED (the message or seed), that the LAW OF THE SEED is
ABLE TO bring forth FRUIT. It grows and grows, having THE FULLNESS
OF WHAT THE SEED PROMISED.
We are to receive FOR OURSELVES THE
WORD OF GOD, and to know ---- THAT GOD’S PROMISES ARE
TRUE. “THE SEED” in Matthew 13 is speaking of
“The Message of Salvation according to the Word of
God.” IT’S TRUE.
God wants to tell us what we are to
do, and we are to ASK OF HIM ALL THINGS. Then we shall know His
Will and we shall ask according to His Will. Whatever is
God’s Will and His purposes WE KNOW SHALL COME TO PASS, FOR HE CONTINUES
TO SPEAK IT, AND HE SHALL DO IT.
John 16:23-28 Romans 8:26-27
THE PROMISE
OF GOD IS FOUND IN THE NEW COVENANT. Jeremiah
31:33-34
This shall be possible for all
those who have been Baptised with Holy Spirit and it is the requirement of
God that all who are so Baptised DO HIS WILL, and be TAUGHT BY GOD
HIMSELF.
1 Corinthians 2:10 John 16:13-15
No matter HOW MUCH OF THE WRITTEN
WORD OF GOD IS PREACHED OR SPOKEN OUT (even if it is TRUTH) it is GOD
HIMSELF THAT SHALL TEACH TRUTH AND THIS TO THOSE WHO KNOW HIM AS GOD ALONE and
this is the PURPOSE OF THE SEED, THE MESSAGE of
SALVATION.
God as the SPIRIT OF
TRUTH….CONVICTS OF SIN, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUDGMENT. John 16:8-11
God as the Spirit of Truth leads us
INTO ALL TRUTH. (as we obey ‘THE SEED’)
THE SEED SPOKEN AS TRUTH.
The Seed is THE MESSAGE OF GOD, WHICH IS TRUE. IT
IS TO BE ‘PREACHED’. Mark 16:15
As it is PREACHED THIS IS
CALLED ‘Sowing the SEED’. To bring forth men who shall
be called Sons of God. They are known as good seed.
It is TRUTH but only as it is FULLY
OBEYED SHALL IT BECOME TRUE and the promises FULFILLED BECAUSE THE
CONDITIONS ARE FULFILLED.
God’s conditions for “BEING SAVED”.
THE ‘TYPES’ OF
HEARERS IN THE WORLD.
EVEN THOSE PEOPLE WHO ATTEND
CHURCH, THE SAME ‘TYPE’ OF HEARERS, CAN BE SAID TO BE PRESENT.
(note: To be a
‘TYPE’ OF HEARER DOES NOT MEAN THAT IS WHAT A PERSON MUST
STAY. He can be PRAYED FOR, so that a man WHO CANNOT UNDERSTAND can
be set free from bondages so that he can believe.) And this applies
to the other types of ‘HEARERS’ as well.
THE SEED OR MESSAGE WHEN PREACHED
OR SPOKEN shall RECEIVE ONE OF SEVERAL REACTIONS TO IT. See Matthew
13:3-9, for explanation 13:18-23.
THIS IS SPEAKING OF THE TYPES OF
HEARERS.
THE MAN LIKE A PATH. HEARS
but HAS NO UNDERSTANDING.
THE EVIL
ONE TAKES THE SEED that WAS SOWN IN HIS MIND. (heart)
THE MAN LIKE A ROCKY PLACE. HEARS
AND RECEIVES WITH JOY but
THERE IS
NO ROOT THEREFORE NO FRUIT.
WHEN
TROUBLE COMES BECAUSE OF THE WORD, HE QUICKLY FALLS AWAY.
THE MAN LIKE A THORNY PADDOCK. HEARS
THE WORD but
THE
WORRIES OF LIFE, THE DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES, CHOKES IT.
He is a thorny paddock dry and
unwatered because of unbelief, which prevents the seed being fruitful.
Hebrews 6:7-8
THE MAN WHO IS LIKENED TO
BEING GOOD SOIL
becomes
the GOOD SEED HE
HEARS
HE UNDERSTANDS THE
MESSAGE
OBEYS THE CONDITIONS OF
THE WORD
GOES ON TO SEE THE FULL
GROWTH OF THE SEED
THE GOOD SEED
BECOMES THE MESSAGE.
HE IS CALLED THE GOOD SEED, WHAT
the SEED OR MESSAGE THAT HAS BEGUN IN HIM MUST GO ON TO BE COMPLETELY FULFILLED
IN HIM SO THAT THE WORK OF THE SEED IS ACCOMPLISHED IN THE MAN. TO
GROW UP TO BE WHAT THE SEED OR MESSAGE SAYS he is to be. THAT IS, to
become a Son of God through Baptism with Holy Spirit. HE SHALL ALSO
PREACH WHAT HE HAS KNOWN AND BECOME LIKE THE ONES THAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD
PROTECTS AND SPEAKS OF ‘AS THOSE ONES WHO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND HIS
SON’. 1 John 1:3

Jesus said to them (us)
"Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the
Kingdom of HEAVEN is like an owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom
NEW TREASURES AS WELL AS OLD."
